The Ahmed Bin Rashid Free Zone (ABRFZ) is located in the emirate of Umm Al Quwain, on the west coast of UAE. This has been established with the vision to develop the region into a global business hub and dive the local as well as foreign investments into the emirate.
Having its own port capable of handling ocean going vessels, the ABRFZ offers easy connectivity to the international markets in Europe, Africa and Asia. Three types of licenses are issued at ABRFZ. They are General trading license, management and consultancy license and Special license. These business models offer flexible licensing options to the investors.
Once the investors submit a completed application form, the free zone authority will review the proposal. After the project is approved provisionally, the legal representative of the investing company is called for a discussion to finalize the details of the project.
Once the agreement has been reached, a lease and Secondment agreement will be prepared and signed by both the parties. The license fee has to be remitted before the license is issued. The usual lease period is fifteen years, with an option to renew.
After the license is issued, the Free Zone Authority can sponsor the staff on behalf of the investor. Such employees, sponsored by the free zone authority can not wok out side the free zone.
• ABRFZ has a reserved land of 118,000 square meters, exclusively for developing the light industrial units.
• Many attractive financial incentives are offered to the investors such as , tax holiday for fifteen years, No export and import duties etc.
• ABRFZ has adequate warehousing facilities where the goods can be stored safely. Many amenities are available with these properties. All the utilities are centrally managed by the local provider and are readily available at a very low rate. Labor and staff accommodation is available on site.
