Car traders at DUCAMZ, a Free Zone under JAFZA management that was built specifically for re-exporting cars in Al Awir area of Dubai, now have a choice to clear their vehicle either manually or electronically.
The system, which linked to Port Rashid Customs, not only save money for traders but also speed up the clearance procedure by giving another choice to exporters to process their transactions either in Port Rashid or at DUCAMZ Custom Center.
Even, the DUCAMZ-based traders whose consignments arrive at Port Rashid can go ahead and present their documents to DUCAMZ customs for processing while the information could electronically sent to Port Rashid for inspection at the site of arrival then the inspection reports would be sent back electronically to DUCAMZ for finalization of clearance procedure.
Currently there are 371 car exporting company at the eight-million-square-feet DUCAMZ.
