Hamriyah Free Zone ranked among top Arab marketers
Sharjah’s AL Hamriyah Free Zone has been voted the second best marketer in the Arab World for the past decade, adding a new honor to its record of achievements.
The Gulf Marketing Review Magazine bestowed the honour on the free zone.
Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the zone, said that the honor was a fruit of persistent development plans and strict application of higher international standards of quality management. The zone has received the ‘Century International Prize for 2002’, becoming the first zone in the world to received such a prestigious prize.
Environment
It has also become the first zone in the world to win the ISO 14001 certificate for environmental safety. It has been awarded the ISO9002 Quality certificate for its outstanding services.
Rashid Al Lei, Director General of zone, said that the certificate reiterates the zone’s commitment to rendering quality services to investors and businessmen.
He said that the award also reflects recognition of the efforts of all the workers and officials of the zone over the last period, adding that it will serve as a moral booster for more efforts that will lead to the zone’s further achievements. Around 370 companies from 54 countries are operating in the zone.
